Ono Yoko’s Wish Tree

As you know, my bottle project for PEACE was inspired by Ono Yoko’s work ‘Wish Tree.’

Originally, a wish tree is used as an object of wishes (especially in many Asian countries) in order to gain from that nature spirit, saint or goddess fulfillment of a wish. Since the 1990s the Wish Tree has played a significant part in many of Ono Yoko’s exhibitions. Ono’s Wish Tree installed in the Sculpture Garden of the MoMA in July 2010, has become very popular, with contributions from all over the world.
