Inside Out: The People’s Art Project

In honor of the completion of our self-portrait projects, I thought I’d mention the Inside Out Project. While I’m sure many of you are already aware of the project, for those who haven’t heard of it, it’s a global art project initiated by JR (winner of the TED prize) using large scale black and white photos taken by individuals in photo booths around the world. Check out the project’s website if you’ve got a few moments to spare (it’s really amazing to see all of the portraits) or watch one of the old trailers on youtube to get a quick sense of what it’s all about. I’m pretty sure the documentary about the project is available on HBO, as well. Here are some shots from the project’s website, taken in our beloved NYC.
