Photo Collage

Collage Final

In a collage, objects are analyzed, broken up and reassembled in an abstracted form—instead of depicting objects from one viewpoint, the artist is able to depict the subject from a multitude of viewpoints to represent the subject in a greater context. Drawing inspiration from Cubist painters and artists such as Picasso, Jean Metzinger, Robert Delaunay, and David Hockney – we were able to explore the sensation of depth, moment and time through taking sequential photos of the subject. The subject is essentially deconstructed then recomposed through the artist’s vision. The resulting composition exhibits a lot more depth and movement that couldn’t be achieved with a singular photograph of a subject.
