Last week, my GD1 class took a field trip to Flavor Paper in Brooklyn. Flavor Paper is a wallpaper company that both digitally and hand screen-print their designs. It was interesting to watch the process and to be in a screen-printing studio. I’ve taken several screen-printing classes in my undergrad but it was fascinating to see high-tech screen-printing machines and to observe what a wallpaper company operates.
Anyone interested in printing their design/pattern on fabric and/or paper should check out Spoonflower.com. I used Spoonflower to print patterns on fabric swatches. They have different kinds of fabrics and sizes to choose from. You can also sell your designs!
